Directions
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
Grate cold butter and rub into flour mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Finely chop spinach into small pieces. Add spinach and half the cheese into the mixture. Mix well with fingers.
Make well in centre and add 1 cup of milk and mix using a butter knife. Gradually add more milk a needed until a dough has formed.
Place dough onto a lined baking tray and form into a rectangle with floured hands (dough will be a little sticky)
With floured knife cut dough into 8 even rectangles and arrange on tray. Allow enough space between them as they will rise.
Add remaining cheese on top of scones
Bake for 10-13 mins until golden. Remove from oven and wrap in a clean tea towel.
Serve warm with butter!
