Preheat oven to 180°C fan bake.

Wash the broccoli. Trim and slice from head to stem lengthways into even-sized pieces keeping as much of the stem as possible.

Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry gently for 5 minutes until tender. Add the tomatoes and basil and cook, stirring, until it forms a thick sauce, about 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Spoon the sauce into an oven-proof dish/tray. Arrange the broccoli pieces over the top. Sprinkle over mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes until browned and bubbling. Serve hot in the same dish.
