LeaderBrand Pukekohe – Mechanic
We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on mechanic to be boots on the ground at our Pukekohe Farm. Our workshop is the perfect place to grow your career as a Mechanic, learning the intricacies of keeping our tractors, harvesters, and other vital equipment running smoothly.
About The Role
Our Engineering workshop is conveniently based on Great South Road in Bombay, with a close proximity to our farms and home base. This isn’t just a job – it’s an opportunity to be part of something bigger. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our commitment to fresh, high-quality food reaches communities across the nation.
As our mechanic you are expected to complete all jobs safely, promptly and effectively in and outside of our engineering workshop. This includes: maintenance, repairs, servicing and breakdowns on all fleet, tractors, machinery & equipment. You will deliver high quality internal service to our Pukekohe Farm by ensuring all activities meet the required standards. You will be primarily working in a small team environment with direct reports to the Workshop Foreman, however you may work independently at times. Operational efficiency, forward thinking and a can-do attitude is a must.

About You
Responsibilities
- Repair & maintenance of all plant, machinery & equipment
- Scheduled services on farming equipment to ensure all are appropriately licensed and certified
- Design & fabrication of equipment
- Breakdown response and troubleshooting
- Organizing parts for repairs
- Weekend callouts when rostered on
- Assisting with identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
- Fast learner and team player
Qualifications
- 2-5 years plus experience in diesel mechanics and/or engineering
- Automotive Trade Qualification
- Current class 1 drivers licence
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Accuracy, reliability, and diligence
- Attention to detail
