LeaderBrand’s process engineering team is seeking an experience electrical fitter to join their busy team supporting and maintaining our ‘state of the art’ salad production facility based in Gisborne.
- Installs, tests, maintains and repairs electrical installations, process machines and automated systems in accordance with regulations and specifications
- fits, assembles, installs, tests, commissions, maintains and repairs electrical systems and equipment.
About The Role
The electrical fitter role will be based in Gisborne, offering a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours and maximum of 60 hours per week that can be worked. If you love working with a great bunch of people, enjoy variety in your work, seek to resolve challenges and able to offer:
- Familiarity with specifications and wiring diagrams to determine the method and sequence of operations
- Installation of electrical plant, machinery and other electrical fixtures and appliances
- Installation, maintenance and repairs of machinery from pneumatic, electrical and automated systems
- Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance as per set standards, following and maintaining diagrams
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance of different machine models, including trouble shooting in electrical panels
- Work with Food and Safety good practices.
About You
- Qualification equivalent from Level 4 Bachelor degree
- Five years’ relevant experience in similar role
- Able to comply with safety standards/codes and ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained
- Planning and organising skills
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
- A team player, motivated self-starter and willing to learn
- Able to identify, understand and resolve issues.
