LeaderBrand’s process engineering team is seeking an experience electrical fitter to join their busy team supporting and maintaining our ‘state of the art’ salad production facility based in Gisborne. 

  • Installs, tests, maintains and repairs electrical installations, process machines and automated systems in accordance with regulations and specifications
  • fits, assembles, installs, tests, commissions, maintains and repairs electrical systems and equipment.

About The Role

The electrical fitter role will be based in Gisborne, offering a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours and maximum of 60 hours per week that can be worked.  If you love working with a great bunch of people, enjoy variety in your work, seek to resolve challenges and able to offer:

  • Familiarity with specifications and wiring diagrams to determine the method and sequence of operations
  • Installation of electrical plant, machinery and other electrical fixtures and appliances
  • Installation, maintenance and repairs of machinery from pneumatic, electrical and automated systems
  • Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance as per set standards, following and maintaining diagrams
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance of different machine models, including trouble shooting in electrical panels
  • Work with Food and Safety good practices.

About You
  • Qualification equivalent from Level 4 Bachelor degree
  • Five years’ relevant experience in similar role
  • Able to comply with safety standards/codes and ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
  • A team player, motivated self-starter and willing to learn
  • Able to identify, understand and resolve issues.
