About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our Gisborne team on a 6-month contract. This role focuses on inventory and stock management across our agricultural warehouses. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by introducing failsafe and user-friendly system improvements, and creating change through your understanding of processes and people. This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency, supporting real-time decision-making, and maximising the value of our existing stock systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and support inventory processes for a wide range of agricultural inputs (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, spare parts)
- Ensure accuracy between physical stock and digital records
- Monitor and report on key inventory KPIs including:
- Inventory Aging % (IA%)
- Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITR)
- Days on Hand (DOH)
- Stock Value and Losses
- Maintain dashboards for visibility of stock movements
- Provide data-driven insights to support supply chain decisions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and future digital system integration
About You
The ideal applicant will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or Production) or a related field
- Experience in process improvement, supply chain, or inventory management
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Self-starter with a high attention to detail
- Background in agriculture, manufacturing, or FMCG is an advantage
