LeaderBrand’s Process Engineering team is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our busy team in Gisborne. Our team supports the running and maintenance of our state-of-the-art Salad production facility, ensuring everything operates smoothly “from garden gate to dinner plate”. About The Role

This leadership role is focused on machinery reliability, team development, and operational excellence within a fast-paced, high-spec production environment.

This role is central to delivering that promise, by keeping our advanced systems running at their best.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and mentor a team of approx 16 technicians across shifts, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability

Oversee breakdown response, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives

Implement and sustain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices

Partner with production and engineering teams to optimise machine uptime and plant performance

Ensure all maintenance activity meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Maintain detailed records and support compliance with systems such as ISO

About You
  • Registered Electrician with current practising license, or Mechanical Level 4 (or both)
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or processing environment
  • Skilled in diagnostics, fault finding, and root cause analysis
  • Familiar with CMMS platforms and improvement methodologies such as TPM, Six Sigma, or 8D
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead under pressure and across shifts
