LeaderBrand’s Process Engineering team is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our busy team in Gisborne. Our team supports the running and maintenance of our state-of-the-art Salad production facility, ensuring everything operates smoothly “from garden gate to dinner plate”. About The Role
Our Maintenance Manager, will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll manage and delegate maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality repairs, equipment reliability, and seamless production support. Leading a team of skilled technicians across shifts, you’ll drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement in our fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
Support continuous improvement and health & safety initiatives
Lead and support a team of technicians across various shifts
Manage breakdowns and maintenance tasks efficiently
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, TPM)
Implement preventive maintenance strategies
Foster a collaborative, problem-solving work environment
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
✔ Trade qualification – Registered Electrician (current practising licence) OR Mechanical Engineering Level 4 (or both)
✔ Strong leadership and people management skills
✔ Technical problem-solving abilities & hands-on maintenance expertise
✔ Experience in electronic/electrical principles, plumbing, relay logic & SAP CMMS
✔ Excellent communication, organisational & computer skills (Excel & data management)
✔ Food manufacturing & continuous improvement experience (preferred)
