About The Role

You’ll play a key role in modernising our nationwide IT infrastructure, strengthening security, and delivering seamless digital experiences that support every part of our business. All while enjoying the lifestyle Gisborne offers. You’ll report to the Head of Technology based in Gisborne.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead IT operations, infrastructure, and security across Leaderbrand.
  • Drive projects to modernise, automate, and future-proof our systems.
  • Champion cyber security, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate across teams, building strong relationships and sharing knowledge.
  • Coach and develop your IT Helpdesk team member.

About You

What We’re Looking For

  • Energy, passion, and curiosity—aptitude and attitude matter as much as experience.
  • Strong foundation in IT systems, Microsoft environments, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with virtualisation technologies.
  • Knowledge of hardware firewalls, VPNs, and network devices.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset and great communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and being part of something bigger.
  • Experience with Microsoft Client and Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, and network operations.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus—but we value industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Azure, AWS) and hands-on experience just as highly.
