About The Role
About The Role
In this versatile position, you’ll be responsible for both site services and production support. You’ll work closely with the Turanganui Night Shift QA team, as well as the Waimata and Taruheru staff, to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. This role requires someone who is not only dependable but also comfortable working alone at times, demonstrating trustworthiness and a strong work ethic when performing tasks independently.
Your duties will include essential site services tasks—such as equipment cleaning, stocking supplies, and ensuring site readiness—along with supporting production activities as needed. Throughout each shift, you’ll assist in any production room that requires support, including quality control, plant equipment cleaning, and managing the flow of products to ensure production targets are met with maximum efficiency and quality
Key Responsibilities
- Hygiene & Quality Control: Perform thorough hygiene checks and clean-downs across the facility, focusing on maintaining food safety and compliance with production schedules. Ensure equipment, including boot wash and hand wash stations, are operational and properly stocked.
- Support various production rooms by:
- Blue Room: Line support for safety and efficiency, manage condiments and crating, and rework defective bags to ensure product quality.
- Packing Room: Perform packing, stacking, and quality assurance checks, ensuring smooth product flow and quality standards.
- Prep Room: Oversee prepping, crating, and quality checks on raw materials, ensuring consistent product flow and operating processing equipment as needed
- Equipment & Supplies Management: Conduct regular stock takes and maintain adequate levels of consumables and cleaning supplies. Report equipment issues to engineering promptly.
- Health & Safety: Drive health and safety improvements by following all PPE and safety protocols. Regularly identify and address potential hazards, contributing to a safe work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on process improvements, raise improvement ideas using the Opportunity For Improvement (OFI) system, and engage in standard work practices to enhance operational efficiency.
