
FRESH CUT – QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN (AFTERNOON SHIFT 2-10:30PM)

About The Role
This role ensures our food safety and quality standards are met across raw materials, production, and finished products. You’ll help monitor processes, verify product quality, and ensure any non-conforming product is quickly identified and controlled. This role is for our afternoon shift from 2pm – 10:30pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and manage out-of-spec or unsafe product, supporting corrective actions
- Complete finished product checks and manage retention samples
- Monitor critical control points (e.g. wash systems, metal detection, temperatures) and escalate any issues
- Assess raw materials and aged stock against specifications
- Carry out microbiological and environmental sampling
- Maintain accurate QA records to support compliance and traceability
- Support a safe working environment by following health and safety practices



About You
You’re detail-focused and proactive, with a strong understanding of food safety and quality standards. You communicate clearly, work well with others, and take ownership of identifying and acting on issues to maintain product integrity.
Essential:
- Experience working within food production, quality assurance or a related environment.
- Understanding of food safety and quality requirements, including basic HACCP principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and records.
- Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance Technician role within the food industry.
- Experience monitoring CCPs or completing verification activities.
- HACCP or food safety training certification.
- Familiarity with production or QA systems
