About The Role
At LeaderBrand, we don’t just grow vegetables — we grow innovation. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Machinery Operator who’s confident with cutting-edge ag-tech and ready to get stuck in. You’ll be operating some of the most advanced equipment in the industry — including our precision harvester and Carbon Robotics laser weeder — while working with a skilled, productive crew. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads by doing. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Gisborne.
About You
We’re after someone who’s sharp, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience operating farm machinery
- A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
- The ability to work independently and support others
- A focus on safety and continuous improvement
- A full NZ driver licence (Class 1) and F endorsement
It’s a Bonus If You Have:
- Confidence using GPS and digital platforms
- Mechanical know-how for basic maintenance
- Leadership experience
- A background in farming or large-equipment operation
All applicants must have proven experience in the above, have relevant references, hold a full NZ approved driver license, and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
You must be able to provide a negative, pre-employment drug test.
