LeaderBrand’s Process Engineering team is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our busy team in Gisborne. Our team supports the running and maintenance of our state-of-the-art Salad production facility. This is your chance to make a real impact in a dynamic and innovative environment.

About The Role

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will manage and delegate electrical maintenance tasks to ensure high standards in repairs and functionality. Overseeing a team of technicians, you will provide support across various shifts, ensuring compliance with quality standards and TPM principles. Your role is pivotal in enhancing equipment reliability, supporting production, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement and Health & Safety: Report incidents and ensure a clean work area. Commit to improving our systems for successful operations.

Electrical Leadership: Manage and delegate electrical breakdowns and tasks efficiently. Ensure maintenance and repairs are executed to a high standard. Communicate with production regarding updates and issues. Provide support to all maintenance teams and shifts. Be the first point of contact for any electrical maintenance-related issues.

Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality systems. Foster a collaborative work environment.

TPM Integration: Apply TPM principles to enhance equipment reliability. Implement preventive maintenance strategies. Monitor equipment performance.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Document repairs, inspections, and upgrades.

Supervision: Supervise electrical maintenance activities related to manufacturing process equipment. Develop and oversee work schedules. Understand and interpret labour contract processes.

Qualifications:

  • A registered electrician with a current practising license is advantageous but not essential.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electronic and electrical principles, plumbing, relay logic, SAP computerised maintenance management systems, and more.
