About The Role

At LeaderBrand, we’re passionate about evolving fresh food for a healthier world.

Based at our Head Office in Gisborne, this is an exciting opportunity to join a proudly New Zealand-owned business that is continually growing, innovating, and investing in its people, systems, and future.

As our Business Analyst/Accountant, you’ll play a key role in helping the business make smarter, data-driven decisions by combining financial expertise with analytical thinking and a focus on continuous improvement. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you’ll transform financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support performance, profitability, and strategic decision-making.

This is a varied and hands-on role that blends accounting, financial reporting, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be involved in everything from month-end reporting and financial modelling through to process improvements, dashboard development, automation initiatives, and commercial analysis. You’ll also have the opportunity to leverage emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance business performance.

Success in this role comes from being naturally curious, commercially minded, and motivated by solving problems. You’ll enjoy building relationships across the business, challenging the status quo, and identifying opportunities to improve the way we work.

If you’re looking for a role where your insights will influence decisions, your ideas will be valued, and your work will have a genuine impact on a business shaping the future of fresh food in New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

You’re more than just a numbers person. Combining strong financial and analytical capability with a curious mindset, you enjoy understanding how a business works and finding ways to make it work even better. Whether it’s identifying trends, improving reporting, streamlining processes, or supporting strategic decisions, you’re motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes.

You’ll bring experience in accounting, financial analysis, or business partnering, along with the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical insights. Comfortable working across all levels of an organisation, you’re a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships and influence positive change.

A naturally proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset will set you up for success. You’ll be excited by the opportunity to leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve efficiency and support better decision-making, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys learning, isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, and wants to contribute to a business that’s evolving, growing, and shaping the future of fresh food in New Zealand.
