LeaderBrand Produce, a leading name in New Zealand’s diverse horticulture industry, is seeking a skilled Vineyard Machinery Operator to join our Gisborne team. Our operation covers over 350 hectares of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer grapes – contributing to the success of the Gisborne wine region’s future.

We are seeking to keen machinery operators to join our dedicated and tight knit viticulture team. We operate a modern and well-maintained fleet of vineyard machinery; supported by our in-house engineering workshop team.

About The Role

This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Vineyard Operations Manager. We require tractor operators with experience in using a range of vineyard machinery to assist in the daily vineyard operations. Applicants will need to have proven machinery and chemical handling experience and strong practical ability and be prepared to assist with various roles within the vineyard when required. This position has a start date of mid-late June.

Duties include:

  • Spray application
  • Mulching/mowing
  • Trimming/defoliating
  • Cultivating/seeding
  • Trellis R&M
  • Vineyard development
  • Harvesting

About You

•       You will need a can-do attitude, good time management as well as the ability to work unsupervised. You will have a strong operational background and the ability to self-manage.
