As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our processing plant. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and components, carrying out preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to electrical breakdowns. Working alongside a skilled and supportive team, you’ll tackle a variety of industrial and commercial tasks in a collaborative and innovative environment. About The Role

As an Electrician at our plant, you’ll be an essential part of our mission to maintain safe, reliable, and high-performing electrical systems that drive our production processes. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, appreciates a collaborative environment, and is committed to ongoing improvement in all aspects of their role.

As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll:

Drive Improvement – Contribute to problem-solving projects that enhance safety, reliability, and productivity.

Maintain and Repair – Carry out preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs to ensure our electrical systems are reliable and efficient.

Respond to Breakdowns – Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime and keep production on track.

Install and Upgrade – Assist with new equipment installations and system improvements to boost efficiency, performance, and safety.

Ensure Compliance – Follow NZ electrical regulations and company safety standards, report hazards, and maintain a tidy workspace.

Uphold Quality – Ensure all work meets ISO and quality standards, supporting our commitment to excellence.

Record and Report – Keep accurate documentation for all maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

About You

You’ll bring both technical skill and a safety-first mindset, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Ideally, you have:

  • New Zealand Electrical Registration with a current practising licence (Level 4).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting, preferably in food processing.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to work.
  • Experience with solar systems (desirable).
