LeaderBrand’s pouch pack is looking for enthusiastic and reliable seasonal process workers for our pouch pack processing and packing operation. This is a seasonal role offering approximately 6 months’ work.

About The Role

LeaderBrand’s Pouch Pack operates Monday to Friday working either eight, ten or twelve-hour shifts. There may be the occasional requirement to work a Saturday, and this will depend on crop availability.

Pouch Packing Processing operates from 6am to 6pm

Your tasks may include:

· Raw material inspection and grading

· Operating machinery

· Loading and Unloading trolleys.

It is important that you are committed to health and safety, continuous improvement and can work in a team environment contributing to the successful operation of LeaderBrand’s pouch pack operation.

You will work in a team environment to ensure that we deliver high quality, cost effective, and standardised work by managing time and resources in each room to achieve the production targets.

The roles available are varied and we will match you to where your experience, skill base and energy sits. The working environment is warm and the work repetitive, so being physically fit is important. We do provide ice blocks and replenishment drinks to aid your performance.

Intake Operator tasks include but is not limited to:

· Forklift driving, so having a current forklift safety license is a must.

· Operating processing equipment safely while maintaining quality standards and processing efficiency to achieve maximum production outputs.

· Assisting other intake team members as required.

Loading and Unloading tasks include but is not limited to:

· Loading pouched product onto tray and loading trolley, quality assurance through visual pouch checks

· Unloading retorted product into crates.

· Saws

· Grading/Inspection

· Toyo Operator

· Loading and Unloading

· Packing

· Forklift Driving

Desired Experience and Skills:

Physically fit to meet the demands of the role

Experience in food manufacturing

Familiarity with food safety and quality requirements

Strong health and safety awareness

Good communication skills, both written and verbal
