About The Role
As our mechanic you are expected to complete all jobs safely, promptly and effectively in and outside of our engineering workshop. This includes: maintenance, repairs, servicing and breakdowns (callouts) on all plant, machinery & equipment. You will deliver high quality internal service to our Pukekohe Farm by ensuring all activities meet the required standards. You will be primarily working in a small team environment with direct reports to the Workshop Foreman, however you may work independently at times.
Operational efficiency, forward thinking and a can-do attitude is a must.

About You
Responsibilities
- Repair & maintenance of all plant, machinery & equipment
- Scheduled services on farming equipment to ensure all are appropriately licensed and certified
- Design & fabrication of equipment
- Breakdown response and troubleshooting
- Organizing parts for repairs
- Weekend callouts when rostered on
- Assisting with identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
- Fast learner and team player
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in diesel mechanics and/or engineering
- Automotive Trade Qualification
- Current class 1 drivers licence
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Accuracy, reliability, and diligence
- Attention to detail
