About The Role
As a Junior Agronomist, you’ll be right where the action is—supporting crop health and agronomy, overseeing daily farm operations, and helping ensure our produce is grown to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with our Salad Leaf Production Manager and wider farm team, contributing to everything from planting and irrigation to harvesting and infrastructure maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring crop health and implementing protection and irrigation plans
- Operating machinery and supporting groundwork, planting, and harvesting
- Supporting staff scheduling, onboarding, and training
- Ensuring environmental compliance and responsible resource use
- Maintaining accurate records and upholding health & safety standards
- Communicating effectively across teams and business units

About You
You’re a practical, reliable team player who enjoys working outdoors and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. You bring strong communication and leadership skills, and you’re confident making decisions and solving problems on the go.
We’re looking for someone with:
- An agricultural degree or similar
- Experience in farming practices and crop management
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and farm machinery
- Great time management and record-keeping skills
- A safety-first mindset and a commitment to doing things right
- Physical stamina and consistency for hands-on work
- A full NZ driver’s licence
It’s a bonus if you’re tech-savvy and have a continuous improvement mindset.
