Sisterson's Lagoon

Sisterson's Lagoon is unique to the Gisborne district, as it is the last remaining spring-fed finger lake. It comprises 2.7ha protected under a Queen Elizabeth II Trust covenant. LeaderBrand leases the adjoining cropping land and has been involved in tidying up the area in preparation for fencing and restoration planting. LeaderBrand staff will continue to be involved in the community project to restore the lagoon as an ecologically sustainable wetland ecosystem. |

Lasting impressions of Gisborne are made by visitors driving into our region for the first time. LeaderBrand saw an opportunity to help with maintaining the region's beauty by adopting the remaining 11kms of Highway leading into Gisborne. All staff are involved with a monthly road-side clean up to help preserve our region. |
